AI Policy
MADE BY A HUMAN
All my work is 100% human. The process of figuring out a story and then writing it is all part of the experience I want to have. I’m not in this to make a quick buck. I’m here to share the stories that come out of my brain in the hopes that you will enjoy them as much as I do.
I do use spellcheck and other predictive tools to clean up my manuscript, but I only implement what I think is appropriate then I pay or trade skills with a human copyeditor to do the final check. Tools like Grammarly and ProWriting Aid can catch some mistakes, but they can’t beat human eyes.
I vet everyone I work with to make sure that their view on AI aligns with mine and that their work is not generated by AI. If I find out that AI is being used in cover art or character art whether accidentally or intentionally, I will cease working with them immediately and replace their art.
This is a 100% human space, and it will always be that way.
And to be honest, the amount of work it takes to make AI do anything is time better spent writing the thing myself in the first place.
I also do not approve of accusations being thrown lightly. Don’t be an asshole. If AI is suspected, we have grown-up conversations. Don’t trust AI to tell if something is AI because AI was trained on human material.
Also I use m-dashes. I don’t care what AI says. They are proper punctuation elements, and I like them.
